The Evolution of the Role of the International Criminal Court in Prosecuting Leaders of Major States

Abstract

This research examines modern strategies to address political and legal challenges in international justice, with a focus on transitional justice and international criminal justice. It reviews alternative mechanisms for dealing with non-cooperation, new approaches to transitional justice, and future trends in international criminal justice, highlighting the role of technology and international partnerships. The study also discusses the development of criminal responsibility concepts, adaptation to geopolitical challenges, and victim rehabilitation and reintegration programs, aiming to ensure comprehensive and sustainable justice. The research concludes on the importance of integrating judicial and non-judicial pathways to protect rights and rebuild affected communities.
