Judicial protection of the climate environment "The administrative judiciary is a model"

Abstract

The topic of climate change is a central contemporary issue that has preoccupied the entire world due to its significant and serious consequences, most notably desertification, floods, and rising temperatures above their natural levels. It also poses a threat to food security and the right of individuals to live in a sustainable and healthy environment. As a result of the legislative and executive shortcomings faced by most countries, especially developing ones, and the resulting negative impact on the climate, the administrative judiciary has played an active and important role in resolving most climate problems and addressing any negligence or dereliction of duty in protecting and preserving the climate. This is achieved through its oversight role of administrative decisions, which contributes to strengthening the principle of environmental protection and safeguarding the rights of current and future generations.
